Pakistan with Elsewheria was one of the best trips of my life.
I do not say that lightly. I work in the travel space, I have been lucky enough to experience a lot of extraordinary places, and this trip still stands out as something deeply special. It was active, meaningful, beautifully organized, and full of the kind of human connection that reminds you why travel matters.
The hikes were intense, especially the push toward base camp. I am no spring chicken anymore, and there were definitely moments where I had to dig deep. But the guides, team, and group were incredibly supportive. I never felt rushed or left behind. I felt encouraged, looked after, and honestly stronger by the end of it.
The motorcycling was another highlight. Nothing felt reckless or too fast, but it still gave that perfect sense of freedom and adventure. We rode through mountain landscapes that felt almost impossible to describe: cliff faces rising into the clouds, roads carved between peaks, rivers, lakes, villages, and the route toward the Chinese border. Around every turn there seemed to be another view that made everyone go quiet for a moment.
But what will stay with me most is the people of Pakistan. The hospitality was unlike anything I have experienced. Again and again, we were met with warmth, curiosity, generosity, and genuine human connection that never felt transactional. People simply wanted to share a moment, a conversation, tea, laughter, or a little piece of their world.
The trip was also impressively well run. There were weather changes, festival timing, road realities, and the normal moving pieces that come with travel in a place like this, but the Elsewheria team handled everything smoothly. Adjustments were made when needed, but the trip never felt chaotic. It flowed. The hosts were excellent, the guides were thoughtful and capable, and the group dynamic was fantastic.
I will also admit that before going, there were some nerves. Like many people, I had absorbed a lot of the outside noise and negative headlines about Pakistan. Actually being there was one of the most beautiful surprises of my life. The country, the landscapes, and especially the people completely exceeded anything I could have imagined.
I cannot recommend Elsewheria highly enough. This was not just a tour. It was a full experience of adventure, culture, nature, hospitality, and connection. I would absolutely travel with them again, and I am already thinking about my next trip with them.
